There are no door handles. Someone from the outside can't get in, unless someone "on the inside" lets them in.
That picture is worth at least 1,000 words about life in American churches.
I'm pretty sure that Jesus would prefer that the doors just stay open instead of our tendency to place physical, economic, cultural and societal barriers to entry.
You may be wondering where is this particular church? Well, it's none other than the "world famous" Crystal Cathedral.
I'm pretty sure that Dr. Schuller and the folks that bring us the "Hour of Power" can afford some more door handles.
Is it any wonder why people feel alienated by the Church?
