Tamar Slay goes to Nets on 54th pick

I'm happy for Tamar to get picked by fellow West Virginian Rod Thorn (for the NJ Nets). Thorn has done well with the Nets since taking over a couple of years ago - all the way to the Finals this year. Hopefully, Tamar will have some of the success that Rod Thorn's pick in the 1984(?) draft... some guy named Mike from UNC.

I remember watching Tamar play in high school for Woodrow Wilson in the state tournament. He had nice career at Marshall, and it's glad to see him have an opportunity at the next level.

Good luck Tamar! We're pulling for you!
